The Brumback Library and Van Wert Live will be hosting a Murder Mystery Party at The Brumback from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1st. Participants will be assigned a character and asked to dress in costume to act out a murder mystery and see who can figure out who the murderer is? This event is free to our patrons 13-18 years old. Limited spots available so be sure to register early!

We offer a weekly Preschool Story Time for ages 2 to 6 with their caregivers.

Step into fall at the Convoy branch between 9 and 11 and have fun with a caramel apple dip bar! This event is recommended for tweens and teens. 

Come celebrate the spooky time of year at Middle Point from 6-7. There will be games, goodies and door prizes!

For over 35 years, Karen Bruewer has worked in various areas of forensic science. Her favorite parts of the job are training police in DNA collection, testifying in court, and using DNA to solve cold cases and correct wrongful convictions. She will discuss experiences as: 

• Research Associate in the Forensic Science Department at UNH
• Indiana Crime Lab Biology Unit - Serology, Blood Spatter and DNA
• Certified Forensic Scientist by the American Board of Criminalistics
• Forensic Science Instructor - Owner of KMB Forensic Consulting

Recommended for ages 14+ due to content.

Jeanne Bennett Calvert is a retired professor and a native of Paulding County, Ohio. For the past few years she has been writing four books on the subject of murder in our area, including "Van Wert County Murders", a work in progress.

Jeanne will share some of the most interesting and unusual murders she has researched. 

An after school puppet theater club for grades 3 and up that meets weekly in the Brumback Library Activity Room.

Recommended for ages birth - 2 years old. Listen to stories, sing songs and have social time.
